A New Years Prayer

Today, we pray for our family—not just for the family we were born into but also for the family we have chosen. 


We pray that 2025 brings laughter and fills us with joy from our head to our toes because we have something to be joyful about, and that is Jesus. As Ecclesiastes 8:15 reminds us: "So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun."

We pray that 2025 brings us peace. May we take the time in our busy schedules to slow down and appreciate the moment, finding not just peace but God's peace that transcends all understanding. Isaiah 26:3 assures us: "Those who trust in God will be kept in perfect peace."


We pray that 2025 brings love. May our cup overflow with love, and may we share that love with those around us. As John 3:16 tells us: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."

Finally, we pray that 2025 brings hope. May we never give up on the hope of a better tomorrow. Hebrews 11:1 states: "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we cannot see." We have hope in a brighter future because of the gift of Jesus Christ. May we pass on that hope to others.


Happy New Year, everyone! On this day, may you know that you are enough, that you are valued, and that you are loved.
